Background

The Hospital Research Foundation was established in 1965 and was one of the first of its kind in South Australia. Over the past 18 years The Hospital Research Foundation has provided more than $25 million at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (TQEH) and the Basil Hetzel Institute for Translational Health Research (BHI), allowing researchers to conduct their valuable work in areas such as stroke, cancer, heart disease, diabetes, asthma and other serious conditions. Since inception, the Foundation has been creative, innovative and entrepreneurial in its approach to raising awareness of medical research at TQEH and BHI and in its activities to provide on-going funding.
